Project CORE
We've had many other police car owners reach out to us about this new equipment. Many with compliments, many with questions! Had this car remained in service today, the police department would have equipped this setup themselves. The work was carried out by authorising a reputable upfitter and I take comfort knowing that this car has not deviated from what it was going to become. The new lighting system on the car is fully-programmable with over 100 flash patterns to use and over 50 different siren tones. The powerful Core acts as an amplifier, providing LOUDER and CLEARER audio than any classic amplifier used in the other American police cars. The Federal Signal Rumbler has also been connected to the Core to make the sirens even more noticeable!

All of this high-tech equipment demands a high-tech interface to control it all! This is the latest 21-button controller from Whelen, equipped with a 3-stage switch and a PA microphone to address the public. Each function can be programmed via a laptop to suit your specific needs - something that no other cop car in Europe has...

Corner Cruise lights are commonly found as a feature on many lightbars since 2009. On other bars they shine at 20% brightness, whereas on ours they can shine at 100% brightness if we choose! Pictured here are our Corner Cruise lights at 75% brightness in daylight. Due to gaps in UK legislation, these lights are road legal as they are not forward/rear facing and they do not flash.

Complete Cruise lights are not found on other emergency vehicles as this can only be performed with the Core. All lights are instructed to steady burn at whatever brightness we desire. It is ideal for testing the lights before an event. Pictured here are the Complete Cruise lights at 100% brightness at night. These lights are not road legal, despite not flashing.

Whelen Command is the main software used to program the Core and the controller interface. It can be utilised with a laptop and a USB connection direct to the Core. This allows for ULTIMATE customisation, anywhere at any time. Within the software, hundreds of flash patterns, sirens and voice messages can be programmed into the controller.

The best part about this software is that it can be used on the police laptop that lives in the car. This allows for 24/7 programming where needed.
